I love how the author goes off on how we didnt threaten to win either the game against TCU or the one against Tech meanwhile TU gets blown out by OK State

the guy says ECU is one year removed from beating West Virginia and North Carolina. ECU lost to both teams last year. The year before, they beat Virginia Tech and West Virginia, and didnt even play North Carolina.

For these two gaffes alone, the dude should be reprimanded. Credibility is cardinal rule of journalism.

Also, he says Houston is playing its third team QB. Actually, that guy is injured also. They are playing their 4th/5th option now.

Okay, that last litle dig was clearly sour grapes, but the rest of that editorial is pretty accurate, n'est pas?

I think this guy must be a brother to that Rice radio announcer who was tallying up how Rice could finish it's season and win CUSA as the SMU/Rice game was winding down.

The only thing I agree with is the notion our conference in not a threat to the AQ conferences. What he did not explain is why we do not threaten the 10-2s and their ilk. CUSA and the other non AQ conferences can not be as good as the AQ conferences because the BCS cartel makes sure of that.

Yeah, he took a shot at us. I'm fine with that. When people are starting to talk trash about you, that means you have their attention. They're also probably ticked off that they've lost the last two to us.

I think he's right that we didn't threaten to win either the Tech or TCU game. But we were in both. I also think he's right that the conference is a bit of a mess because our two top teams are collapsing and we don't have significant wins.

Now, I don't think we're Sun Belt bound as he suggests, but keep in mind we're getting better, our talent is getting better, and in time, we should start picking off more BCS teams -- IF THIS THING GOES THE WAY IT APPEARS TO BE GOING.

I think they were so confident that they were going to beat us, that when they didn't, they didn't know how to explain it.

I think we have a little rivalry brewing with them....
