Will we go to a 4-3 Defense for the Navy game or make any other major realignments for the Triple Option?

It'll be interesting to see how Mason attempts to play Navy. In the game last year they really gashed us in the second half. However we are big, strong, and fast up front. If our offense can keep it up we should win this game.

I think we stay in the 3-4 and let our Linebackers make plays. Being in Atlanta, I watch GT every week, and the biggest thing I've learned from watching the triple option is that guys have got to stay in position. Triple options thrive on defenders being out of position and not defending the right player (QB,a-back, b-back, etc.).

Giving up a ton of yards in the second half is a given. Navy will wear us down with our lack of depth. There is no reason we can't get out ahead on them first and keep scoring however.

The Pony offense is key to the defense for Navy. It is absolutely critical that the offense sustain drives, take time off the clock and put up some scores. The offense has to minimize mistakes and take aways. With our depth problems on defense, they need all the rest possible to face that unrelenting ground attack they will face on Saturday. We could actually be in trouble if the offense scores too quickly ....eg. Rice game; with the defense on the field for 30 pluse extra plays and totally worn out in the last quarter. Offense is the KEY.
