Navy info from an alumni...

Thought I would pass this along for those going to navy game...looking forward to it...
Great time of year to hit Annapolis! You will no doubt have a blast, just stay away from the wubas.
As far as recommendations go, i have not managed a return since graduation so I feel my intel may be a little dated.
Nevertheless, this is what I recommend:
Hotel: I'm sure you have already secured this, but if not the Marriott at the waterfront is a great location. Good thing about Annapolis is you can walk everywhere. If not the Marriott then the westin just opened up a new hotel that is supposed to be nice or the loews.
Food/beverage/nightlife - all of this will be tied together. There are a ton of good restaurants in dta (downtown Annapolis) and everything will be jammed with people if the weather is nice post game. Chart house in Eastport is good for fine dining, rams head tavern (usually good live music, great beer, and good bar fare), cantlers (have to get a cab to take you there but the best crab house), Galway bay (Irish bar and food), Sean donlons (Irish pub and music), mcgarveys (good scene), buddy's (big sun brunch).
It will be easy to follow the herd once you have set ip shop. All along west street there are great venues. You will def want to be up early to watch the midshipmen march to the game. Beat place is to set up in front of saint johns univ. People usually throw candy at the mids. Also, highly recommend hitting the tailgaters after the game. Midshipmen can't tailgate before football games but after they throw some decent parties. If they give you any [deleted], they won't, but if they do tell them your seal friend pat said to have a beer with the mids.
Also, on Sunday it is worth walking around campus. They has a visitor center just inside gate one and it's worth taking a look at the chapel.
