thanks for the post. If that doesn't fire you up then you are dead. Nothing I like better than to watch teamwork and team chemistry in action against what are supposed to be insurmountable odds but Navy and Air Force just keep fighting till the end. SMU had better be ready and I know they will after two years and letting one get away last year.

They do that after every game they win.

There's something amazing about watching the service academies. They play with character, heart, display teamwork and are all around great sports. The tradition is incredible and these kids are some of the best and brightest of most college kids out there (West Point is a top 5 academic school). You don't see the thugs and the punks with those annoying dreads, taunting and acting like they won the super bowl after a 10 yard run. Pure class at Army, Navy and Air Force. Great for college athletics.

I just think it is nice to have a brief respite from the normal smack talk back and forth. Once a season we get to play a team that we can respect for their manner in which they present themselves in school, and on the field, and for the way we know they will present themselves as protectors of our Nation when they get out of school. They will respect our school song. They will shake hands with our players before and after the game regardless of the result. For 60 minutes we can hate them and then after the final gun, we can cheer for them on and off the field.
