Just left the new Rally House fan store at Alpha & the Tollway. Great store. Tons of stuff for lots of schools. (except the only Div 1 College Football Team in Dallas) When I was checking out I noticed it was the manager checking me out so I engaged her in a conversation. She was really nice.
Me: "How come such a tiny, tiny, amount of SMU merchandise?"
Mgr: "SMU is really high for their licensing".
"TCU used to be like that, but now they just want all their stuff out there"
"Also SMU seems to want to protect certain stuff"
"We get asked that question alot"
"We are trying, hopefully to get more SMU stuff, especially if they keep winning"

So, people want our product, but we price them out of the market?
"TCU used to be like that, but now they just want all their stuff out there" - interesting

That is what I have been looking for. They do have a website you can order from.
I will be wearing my new Gameday Cloth gear at the Navy game

i went into that store a few weeks ago when it first opened looking for a red smu polo for the tcu game (since b&n sold out), and i spoke to either the manager or it might have been just a sales person on the floor. but i asked the same question about why the smu selection was so small, and also why the merchandise they did have wasn't that impressive compared to all of the other schools. that person told me that they were going to see how sales on smu related items were and they would expand if they sold well since it was a new store.
my response was, if you don't carry quality products, no one will buy it!

I went to the Rally House in Plano before the start of the season. I asked about the lack of SMU "stuff" - told them UT, OU, TT, Baylor, TCU, ATM all had a SECTION. SMU only had 2 shelves. Her response was, "Well, you only had 1 shelf last year. We doubled the inventory." I bought a set of car coasters.

the lady at the one in Fairview said "yknow I live down there...saw all the Fill the Ford signs before the TCU game." Then she repeated the old mantra about how SMU is stingy about their licensing and wanting to protect the brand.
Went to Gameday Cloth the other day and they had 4 polos and a couple of other t-shirts to choose from. Interrupted the girl watching the Ranger game who told me "yeah, the owners went to SMU"

All,
The Rally House in Arlington in the Highlands is pretty decent. I go to that one.
They have a fairly decent selection of shirts, golf, polo, dry and T-shirts. They have the athletic shorts and the coasters and things like that.
That Rally House also has a jewely section. There are Mustang earings for the wife or daughters to wear.
Based on the way you all are talking, it sounds like the one in Arlington has more than the one Dallas or Plano -- bizarre.

I agree. While waiting for the Improv to open over there once, I went into Rallyhouse because it had air conditioning. I was impressed w/ the SMU selection they had.

Yeah, I've been to that one, too. A lot more variety and the SMU stuff is more toward the front. Of the ones I have visited, The Highlands is definitely the best (relative term).

They're selling Nike stuff? How many years have we been an adidas school now?
Gameday Cloth has fantastic stuff, and it's unique — not standard bookstore stuff ... well worth checking out.

Personally I much prefer the
NIKE brand clothing line anyway, so it works for me. Plus the SMU Bookstore sells tons of Under Armour brand which is non-Adidas and great stuff too. Unless it a jersey I don't see it as an issue to buy Under Armour or Nike brands SMU gear.

I have been to Gameday Cloth a couple of times, small selection as well, but they have some
very unique items, and best of all it's owned by an SMU Alum.
