Predict Time of Possession Tomorrow

Navy obviously wants to control the clock, and they have done so in 4 of their 5 games. I think it is critical for the SMU offense to sustain long drives to a) keep Navy's offense off the field 2) keeping our D fresh, so we avoid last year's collapse from happening again. TOP does not dictate who will win the game, as teams can strike quickly (see Oregon), but I wanted to see what people thought would be the TOP for each time tomorrow.

My guess: Navy 32, SMU 28. We are going to use Line and short passes to lengthen drives and test Navy's D. Hopefully, it ends up helping us, and we win!

Navy:

vs. Maryland (39:26)
vs. GA Southern (32:36)
vs. LA Tech (34:21)
vs. AFA (31:30)
vs. Work Forest (29:25)

SMU:
vs. TTU 32:10
vs. UAB 36:35
vs. WAZZU 29:25
vs. TCU 27:42
vs. Rice 26:43
vs. Tulsa 31:16

sorry no one likes you...

i think time of possession, if we win by a large margin, will be around 32,28 or close to even. However, realistically, I think it will be a little closer to 35, 25. I can see us moving the ball really well down the field and scoring quickly on drives and navy eating up a lot of clock with their running. if we utilize line as much as we should...you will be correct.

Go Mustangs! Beat Navy!
