Just got an email from SMU about homecoming and saw this:

Let's make it a "Blue Out." Fill the Ford with a sea of blue — wear blue to the game and drown out the Houston fans!

Does this mean we are breaking out the "Lose Blues" uniforms for Houston too?

Yes I only have Blue gameday polos.

Very good question. I'd rather save those for a CUSA championship or bowl game, but I would guess they would break those out to correspond with the "Blue Out" in the stands.

They have to whip them out. wow that'd be so dirty. I wish they'd whip out black for the C-usa champ game..

I love the blue unis, and think we should've been wearing those all along. But we should never ever break out special uniforms for any game ever.

As you are watching college games around the country, watch how many teams lose when they break out special unis.

Notre Dame in Green = loss
OSU in all orange = loss
Nebraska all red = loss

The reason behind wearing a standard uniform for every game is that it becomes 'business as usual'. You want that clinical mindset for every game no matter how big or how small the game is.

All I know is that we are doing just fine with the red. Why change?

BTW, I love the blue uniforms too. I just don't wanna mess with a good thing.

This would be great! Love the Blue Uni's, been waiting to see those again! I think a "Blue Out" is a great idea as well. Should work well with homecoming, hopefully the bookstore and other outlets are prepared. At the TCU game a t-shirt vendor was walking the blvd and asked if we wanted commemorative TCU vs. SMU WHITE gameday shirts. He was so beaten down, said SMU didn't notify them about the RED OUT in time...

Probably because UH fans will be wearing red. Blue is good with me and it is still a school color.

RED is our home jersey color - we should wear RED - like the team. If Houston fans do not want to look like SMU Mustang fans, they can wear blue - that's one of their school colors, TOO.

I have a wife, four kids, and a mortgage. Therefore I don't have money for a new blue shirt.

Wear what you want, no need to get pissy about it, but it's the good thing about

having 2 colors, you don't have to look like the enemy.

I have never seen coogs wear blue.
