The winner of that Allen-Leander game will take on Southlake Carroll, a 29-16 winner over Irving. Good game. Carroll had to grind it out though as Irving failed to capitalize on 4 turnovers.

How about those Highland Park Scots! 31-28 over the Kilgore Bulldogs today! HP takes on Denton Ryan next weekend, probably at Texas Stadium. GO SCOTS! :thumbupcool:

OU has no business being in the national championship game. It should be USC/LSU. Its not going to happen, but OU got destroyed today by a three-loss K-State team. I can't explain my frustration!

Uhm.. why won't USC and LSU be in the title game?
It's pretty much a tossup right now.. and if OU gets no respect from the writers and coaches, theyre not going to the Sugar Bowl.

just another nail in the coffin of the bcs!

USC is going to be #1 in both polls and will not play in the national championship game. It actually works out well for them. Regardless of who wins the OU/LSU Sugar Bowl, if USC beats Michigan in the Rose they will win the AP national championship. So what has been accomplished by the BCS?

Nada - the B(C)S, as we all know, should be thrown out. And while OU got beat by a three-loss K-State team, how many losses did Cal -- the team that beat USC -- have? And who beat LSU? If anything, USC is the team that should be left out of the title game, because I can't imagine LSU lost to a lesser opponent than Cal.

OU still deserves to go. A week ago, people were wondering where this team fit in the list of the greatest college teams EVER. So the Sooners laid an egg and K-State played a nearly perfect game. It happens. OU still deserves a shot at the national title. (I do have some sympathy for those who say if a team doesn't win its conference, it shouldn't be eligible for the national title, but I still think OU is the best team out there, yesterday's debacle notwithstanding.)

How would you like to be playing for the team that has to face OU in the bowl game? The Sooners are angry and embarrassed, and the great Bob Stoops has a month to get them ready. I don't think OU's opponent -- whoever it is -- has a snowball's chance.

So K-State finally won a Conference championship. It could be argued that Bennett was holding Snyder back!

No, it couldn't. With Bennett at the helm, K-State had one of the best defenses in the nation, year in and year out.
