I like our odds... we're 1-0 with him in the broadcast booth.

• Sumlin has an undefeated record vs. ranked opponents with wins over No. 5 Oklahoma State in 2009 and over No. 23 East Carolina and No. 24 Tulsa in 2008.

Good thing we aren't ranked.

"Houston's leading receiver Patrick Edwards knows the word adversity. He came to UH as a walk-on and earned a scholarship from head coach Kevin Sumlin in 2008. That same year, he suffered a devastating broken leg in a game against Marshall. "

Saw that injury when it occurred on TV. Glad to see this kid is back playing. It appeared to be a horrendous injury.

UH looks a bit beat up on the D line. Our O line could have its best day of the year and should. Padron could have all day to find a receiver. I just hope our receivers get open for him.

Was that the kid that ran into the small cart behind the end zone and snapped his leg. Did not remember who it was but it was nasty.

I believe so. Still hurts just thinking about it.

The O/U on how many Houston's D-linemen get hurt (I hope 0) 2.5
