Oh please God let them hire Davis. That way I wouldn't have to hear my parents complain about GD every time his horrible playcalling causes UT to lose a game, and also that way UNT would actually get WORSE.

A UT colleague of mine thinks they pay GD roughly $400+K per year, same ballpark as Holgorsen at OSU. If you want an innovative guy, take Holgorsen over GD in a heartbeat. He'd probably like to get back to a major metroplex. Is UNT willing to pay $500+ for a coach this time around? I thought Dodge cost around $225K, at least initially.

they have the best O Coordinator for the job at UT already on staff, his name is Major Applewhite and he is likely to be the next head football coach there as Muschamp will probably be enticed to be a head coach somewhere else.

Opie driving the bus at UT? Sounds good. He's still a little rough around the edges right now - maybe in 10 years, after Clappin' Mack retires, he will have acquired some head coach demeanor.
