Oct. 21, 1989 -- 21 years after the despicable act

It is my charge that every year we play these ba$tards, I will always remind them of one of the most disgraceful moments in college athletics history.
I was there in the Astrodome that afternoon to watch 95-21. This will never, never, never be forgotten.
They are and always will be Cougar High and I do not care for anything that that university represents.

Houston sucks should cover it.
Any of us old-timers remember where we were this happened and what our reaction to it was?

I graduated in August of 1989, so by October I was in my new apartment in Colorado Springs. I found out about it when Dad called. He was pissed.

Was at the Astrodome that day, and still vividly remember a play in the 2nd Q where Andre Ware faked a handoff and stood for seemed like 15 seconds holding the ball behind his back (seen clearly on their jumbotron) and then heaved it 40 yards for another score.
Long trip home on the bus with the Mustang Band, and everyone was pretty quiet. We knew our day would eventually come.

Our day came three years later when those freshmen became seniors and we beat the U of H 41-16.

I was there - with my 4 year old son - our first game together. The most despicable sporting event I have ever witnessed. I'll always believe the real a-hole that day was John Jenkins - Pardee was just a stooge. Two years later was very, very sweet.

Well, I am not sure but I imagine many still feel the same about SMU and our behavior 25 years ago. This is not the same University it was 25 years ago and I imagine it is not in Houston either. Different coaches, administrators, President-Provost ect.... Give it up and come back with something more recent to hang your hate banner on.

I for one, hate everything about our opponent the week before we play them. It's more fun that way.

I hate that their former offensive coordinator called us cheaters when our players were cramping up in the heat and humidity a few years ago.

I will never forget that game. Pardee and Jenkins are scumbag bastard$. I hope someday we can inflict significant pain on their team and run up the score to embarrass them as well. In addition, we should close all 7-11s next Saturday so they will have to go hungry.
Maybe we should have some signs in the stands reminding our team of that score.
GO PONIES- BEAT HELL OUT OF COUGAR HIGH!!!
