SMU quarterback Kyle Padron is still relatively new as a starting quarterback — including his high school career, he has just over one season of starting experience on his résumé — but he already is among the best quarterbacks in Conference USA. According to PonyFans.com's John Hampton, Padron already is the league's top statistical passer, and could end up earning a Player of the Year award.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
