Why Dallas kicks Houston's [deleted]

As far as sports go, a Cotton Bowl official, back in the day, once observed that he didn't want the Houston Cougars coming to Dallas to play in the game, because, "half of these (Houston) people will come up here and eat at the 7-Eleven store, and the other half will be trying to hold it up."

I can't accuse them of looking through rose colored glasses.

Didn"t Randy Galloway say something along those lines in newspaper column.

If you have been on their message boards over the years, you would KNOW, they do! They have backed off on the hate a bit, because they know we can beat them. BEAT HOUSTON!

Some Houston [deleted] wrote:That's bad news for a Houston defense that is surrendering nearly 200 yards per game on the ground, and is so decimated up front by injuries that the Cougars used just two down linemen on several plays last week.!

I would love to see five straight runs to open our first possession. Our O-Line and our Z-Line could just crush them and really get the Cittens out of their game.

200 yards a game on the ground, does that mean when we have a 3rd and short yardage, JJ will call a pass play?

Houston/SMU are both fortunate to have one another in the same conference. I hope this rivalry grows to the point every game is a sellout. We need more than TCU to get our fans motivated. One thing about the old SWC, even if you had two losses, you could always hope to take on A&M or upset the horns, or beat Tech, or finish off with TCU. There was always a team to beat that would salvage your season.

I would hope we welcome their fans to the BLVD and game so they want to come back every other year and hold the conference together, like I said we need each other.
