I think Paul Johnson has a better year than Jones but wouldn't be any farther ahead of where we are now than Jones is.
Not a fire the coach thread, Jones is best of these obviously.

Willis would have been a good option QB and we would have done much better than 1-11 that 1st year. I expect he would have recruited well in Texas and found kids to run his system. Whether we would be any farther along or have as much long range potential...who knows.
Bottom line is that we have a good coaching staff and this program is improving. Now is not the time to panic. What we need is for more people to rally around this program and to hold onto the early commitments we have for next year.
