It's a good ole slump

Everything was bad. Offense. Defense. Special teams. I thought they had no energy to start the game. This was the first game where I could tell they weren't ready to play.
And Houston just flat out kicked their butts. They deserved every bit of it.
Over the years, Houston is a matchup nightmare for this outfit.

I'm just worried this is the type of loss that can ruin a season and set a program back a few years

You only need to luck to Houston to know that is not the case. Rice embarrassed Houston last Saturday. Hopefully this game will serve as a wake up call that we are mediocre and need to play our best to beat anyone including the Rice's and the UNT's.

We're still at .500 and have 3 winnable games coming up plus C-USA West is still very much in play. Houston will likely finish with at least 3 conference losses. JJ just has to get these guys refocused immediately. Not sure why Houston was our HC game this season.

Do you have a fork? Stick it in us. We're toast. I'm going to eat air, hotel, etc. to watch the Green Wave kick us. I bought into the deal way too early and booked the trip. We have severely underperformed in NO in the past.
PLaw, you are right. This is a loss that haunts the rest of the year. The table was set and all you had to do was show up and give strong effort. Thank goodness Case Keenum wasn't playing. No telling what that score might have been. What a load to drop on homecoming and in front of stud recruits.

Probably would not be appropriate to put a Panic thread up this week GSP . The team has some issues they need to deal with.

I thought the Carrier kickoff return was the killer but Ponies were very much in the game going into the fourth quarter. UH couldn't move the ball consistently in the third and were just up by 10. A turnover in the fourth may have turned the tide. Line was sharp but all the pieces couldn't come together and the Coogs were pretty fired up.

Seems like every time you post it we lose.

BTW, I have never said that this was schtick. There were others who just assumed it was and called it that.
