who stayed to the bitter end. It was wet, cold ,a very long day for those of us who were there since 10:30 in the morning and the performance on the field was painful to watch. However, the small cadre of fans that remained to the end were loud and did give support to the team under trying circumstances. This game is past us. The focus now is Tulane and a must win if we are to salvage this season.

The video's audio sums up yesterday pretty well. It was discouraging. Drove 5 hours to the game, suffered through a rain delay and watched the worse performance since the Caven days. No intensity and no urgency to preform from all aspects of the game.
I give UH credit, they came prepared and to play.
Now, do we have the leadership and capability to return to that TCU/UAB/Tulsa level of intensity against Tulane?

I think they played in front of more people at the Red/Blue Spring scrimmage, did they not?

It was cold and nasty weather, and the game didn't go well, but leaving was never an option. The Ponies are our team.
BEAT TULANE!

We don't play well in bad weather, I guess.
And our performance two years ago at Navy in those miserable, wet, windy conditions was by far the worst effort I have seen out of SMU...maybe ever.

I only left after waiting for more than an hour after the delay because of the bad cold I have. Now it's worse. Fever and chills.

Arrived at 10 am and greeted a bunch of old friends. Sat through a sad excuse for a football game.
As I said at the game " Come on Mustangs... time to grow up"
That is what it is going to take...the maturity to play up to ones potential. Turn the page on youthful thoughts and perform.
Love my Mustangs.
Stayed to the end and sang my alma mater.
Beat Tulane.

you people are WAY too critical when half of you never played a college down in your life....lace em up before you decide to talk trash like that. Support all the way or don't at all. They really don't need fair weather fans....

Smooten is an idot. Every guy on here is hardcore.
You don't have to "lace them up" to be a "real fan" or there would only be 5 SMU fans.
