Right or wrong, Michigan State, Alabama (yes with one loss) and Missouri will jump them next.

I'm in favor of all of them jumping ahead of TCU. They're just not that impressive.

think about this scenario...Bama wins out, beating an undefeated Auburn team to end the regular season...then goes on to trounce South Carolina in the SEC Championship game on a neutral field to atone for their only loss...do they get to defend their title if Oregon, Michigan St, Boise St, Missou and either TCU or Utah go undefeated?

Tough to say. Oregon would play in the title game, for sure. After that ... hard to say. Boise State would deserve it, in my opinion, but if Mizzou runs the table, it wouldn't be totally shocking to see them get in because of the over-valuing of the Big 12.

The way I heard the "experts" put it this morning, normally Alabama would be in the NC game in that scenario but this year it appears the east division SEC team may not be ranked high enough to give them that last push they need to get back up there. Of course this is predicated on some those teams ahead of them remaining undefeated.

They would not jump Oregon. But certainly a one loss Bama team that beats number 2 auburn and then wins the SEC title game would jump Boise, TCU, Michigan State, Utah.....the big question is if Missouri wins out would they jump Missouri....I'd wager to say yes. That Alabama/Auburn game would be one of the biggest games in college football history. One of the longest and best rivalries in the game, both ranked in the top 5, Auburn undefeated, Bama the defending national champ with one loss, winner wins the SEC and most likely goes to the national title game.....there would be so much hype surrounding that game... Id have to imagine they would jump ahead of Missouri. Not that I think they should, but the winner of the game would get a huge push just based off of the frenzy that would surround that game

But of course they're not. However they did kick SMU's [deleted] at the Pony's Super Bowl game.

Not sure how to impress you. If the SMU game is the only one you have watched, I maybe could see that. SMU scored more on TCU than any other team this year. Last four games TCU outscored opponents 141 to 10. Michigan state barely beat Northwestern. Missouri needed a touchdown in the last 51 seconds to beat San Diego State.
