la Pavillion sold out...everything is sold out..we have been looking since last weekend..must be something going on, like music fest, etc.??

Booked mine about a month ago and it was down to slim pickings then in the downtown area.
And yeah, Voodoo Festival is this coming weekend.

i would call the Intercontinental. This is the SMU MC hotel. You might have to stay an extra night - Fri, Sat, Sun to get in there.

They were completely booked when I tried a month ago. Maybe they've had some cancellations since then. Their staff was very nice to work with over the phone.

Try hotels in Metarie. I have found hotel space there when DT is booked.

See if there's anything in the Garden District. Lots of hotels there, the area is somewhat off the beaten path for tourists (but only a streetcar ride from the Quarter), and it's a tremendous part of New Orleans.

Now, they all might be booked up, too, but I would think Downtown hotels fill up faster than those in the GD.
