Time to Panic...No UTEP Panic thread

Postby ponyte » Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:18 pm

Where is GSP, Jr? It is past the panic point

I have to admit, I agree with GSP that UTEP scares the Hades out of me.

First, Ponyfans crashes and most of us have yet to recover from the withdrawals.

Second, UTEP at home has always presented us with challenges.

Last, Tulane ran all over us so why not UTEP?

And doesn’t UTEP have like a ten year veteran at QB? That should present issues we can’t handle.

I just don't know how we are going to do it. I think Vittitoe has a couple of his children playing wide receivers so I am sure they have their timing down. We have yet to tackle Buckram. He has been hurt all year but I am sure he will be full speed on Saturday. I question whether or not we should go. Perhaps we could save the expense and use the money for marketing to attract people to the Marshall game.

I forgot all about Vittitoe's kids playing now. We don't have a chance.

Their defense will hold Line to less than 160 yards rushing. Padron will be kept under 320 yards passing. That is just not enough offense. I mean they were once 5-1 on the season! They have to be great!

And I am mortified that Ponyfans will crash right before kickoff again. That is unendurable panic!

Man, I am in near hysteria panic about this game now. I need a Valium and a tissue.

I do not even know what the official start time of the game is! On ESPN it says 9/8 ct, but on smumustangs.com it says 7/6 ct. AHHHHH freaking out

I was panicked at 17-3, no doubt about it.

There is no way to predict this team and I am in panic mode

I'm a day behind. I'm thinking....but maybe not since you guys covered some decent ground.

no time to panic...have to win this one to duplicate last year's 7-5 regular season.

I have visions of Taylor Thompson running down UTEP's QB and sacking him to end that 10 year career in El Paso

I'm weirdly panic-free, even though Buckram is back to full health.

I was very nervous, like the rest of you, when we were down late at Tulane and the offense had been sputtering.

Yet despite two fumbles by Zach Line and very slow start by Padron, we figured out a way to win on the road. We have seen a lot of SMU teams that easily would have figured out a way to lose that game, possibly by a huge margin. Even when playing poorly, this team seems to have some legitimate grit. Hope to see that grit again in El Paso.

Beat UTEP!

No.
Not trying to be rude, but what was slightly funny or clever in the first such thread is just tired now.
You have a lot of good posts/ideas — this is repetitive and lazy. You're too good to keep wasting time on the same old stuff.

When the team gets off the chartered plane on Friday is there a chance that:

Off to their right, they'll see 5 mounted cowboys?

Off to their left, ride a dozen or more?

i wonder how many smu fans panicked when smu was down 17-3 and either left the dome, turned off the tv or radio.
my conservative guess is 95%.

we are in a new era my friends where panic is no longer a reason need to flee. embrace your panic. make friends with it. encourage it. it is your friend.
