Thanks and good food for thought..The RB numbers are something we would never have thought to be the case this year with Line running......amazing stats!

I like turtles. Bow ties are cool... and so are these stats.

(Just imagine how much more prolific the passing offense could be if ol' expony18 were lining up, errr... riding pine for this team! ... You know I love ya' ex p and I am only kidding. Maybe you and I can ride the pine together at the ol' Marina Pub some day, I'm here for one of my last two nights - be back Saturday for the SMU game - before returning to Tejas.)

Very interesting stuff. Thanks EX18. I think that we are definitely better through the first 9 this season as compared to last.

A couple of other points that should be included.

- Our OOC schedule was the same except for this season we played Texas Tech instead of SFA. That makes this year's stats even better.
- To make this analysis perfect, we would want to compare the ranking of the defneses we faced from each year. I bet they are pretty similar and the difference nonmaterial but just saying.
- The first 6 games last year were all QB'd by BLM, who just about everyone on this site considerd to be a below average QB (at best). Basically, 2/3rds of those '09 stats were considerd to be completely unacceptable by everyone here. So, just saying for everyone to remember that we are better than awful for a R&S offense.
- I think people here are sometimes upset because they compare KP's 6 games started last year (great performances against horrendous Defenses) to his performance this year. That Hawaii Bowl thrashing just got people's expectations a little high in my opinion.

MustangIcon, I know now hindsight is 20/20, and it was our first game, but TTU's pass defense ranks 119 in D-I.

looks like if we included the top 4 in each year then, Shawnbrey would be mentioned by name. Who is our fourth leading receiver this year? Haynes?

Looks like we have better ball distribution this year

And Line has caught 11 passes for 106 yards this year, making his total yardage to this point 1024 vs. Shawnbrey's 1010 in 2009. And Line has run the ball *22 fewer times* and been thrown to *20 fewer times* than McNeal had.

Kyle has one interception, and only 4 touch downs what ? KP: Comp 48, Att 70, Yards 725, TDs 4, Int 1. What am I missing here?

Id be curious to know how many 3rd down receptions Sanders had for 1st downs. Thats where he stands out heads and shoulders over the others. Kyle really had trust in him on 3rd down.

Kyle has developed a nice connection with Beasley but he is not a replacement for Sanders (despite doing a nice job this season).

I think that is where we miss Twilkerson so much this year.
