The Methodists vs. the Mormons. A classic battle at Ford.

Some of these bowl game names are just tragic. I would hate to have to walk around saying, and printing in media guides that we are the 2010 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Game Winner, or the 2010 Beef-O-Brady Bowl Game Winner. Those are just insufferably bad. Thankfully, we didn't have to endure 25 years of people saying our last bowl game was the "1984 Yugo-Van Halen Sponsored Cold War Bowl Game"

The following bowls need to be cancelled:

KRAFT FIGHT HUNGER (go back to the Emerald Nuts Bowl)
BEEF 'O'BRADY'S
LITTLE CAESARS (That's not even a real pizza company anymore)
MILITARY (no academies can be in the game..)
PINSTRIPE

Go.DADDY.COM--THE WORST. If i have to see these soft core porn ads for 3.5 hours, I might shoot myself.

The naming of bowl games is absurd. Pick a fitting name and then just add the sponsor. Just like the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. Everyone knows Sheraton is the sponsor, but Hawaii Bowl just sound better than galleryfurniture.com bowl or any of the above mentioned games.

I have to disagree. The problem isn't the bowl name, but the bowl sponsors.

What kid wouldn't give his right arm to claim he was the winner in the "Victoria's Secret Bowl"?

Or a proud player in the 'Playmate of the Year Bowl".

As health and social issues are also fair game, a kid could be proud of their participation in the "Teen Pregnancy Awareness" Bowl. The community service component of the bowl is a player's dream.

And certain products could be utilized in a bowl game’s name like the “DuPont Breast Augmentation Bowl”. What kid wouldn’t want their picture taken with the midfield decoration!
