Anyone listen to JJ's post-game comments?

Rich Phillips asked him something like "without getting you into trouble, how important was that 11-on-18"? (JJ paused for a second before saying "that's something we didn't want to go through" or something like that.)

Any idea what they were talking about?

HA — no way Rich would have thrown that at him, but it is funny.

SMU Players versus UTep players+ officials I would imagine.

Wait — you were serious?

I'd be shocked if Rich would ask that, insinuating that the officials were on the other team. Is there some context around this that I missed (like a comment about us playing 11-on-18 or something)?

If that really IS what was meant ... kudos to Rich!

SMU got their [deleted] kicked. June Jones lost his composure and so did his team. Not a good sign. Quit blaming the officials for unacceptable performance.

Those are the reports I'm getting both here on PF and elsewhere!

You play like [deleted] you end up mired in the [deleted]!

good teams can overcome a couple of calls that don't go their way; we aren't there yet. Just need to get that 6th win, then hopefully a 7th and hope to earn another bowl bid to keep the "positive" momentum going.

Must remember that 20 years of football ineptitude won't be fixed in 3 short years
