that said tsu has a suprisingly large student body and could one day be a good program.

Perhaps now existing WAC members will flee the conference. Independence and moving to a lower division both seem preferable to the depths of the WAC.

That lineup will enhance Hawaii's chances of being bowl eligible and hosting the Hawaii Bowl every year

UTSA will be competitive very quickly. They have a great stadium to play in, large student body, are in a city that loves football and does not have a pro team, and will not be too challenging academically. I am surprised that they have the budget to participate in the WAC, but otherwise it is not a surprise.
