STERLING MOORE: Coming back again?

Postby PonyPride » Thu Nov 11, 2010 1:55 pm

It's unfortunate when any athlete has to endure an injury that causes games to be missed and requires arduous rehabilitation work. Over his two seasons at SMU, a trio of knee injuries have sent senior cornerback Sterling Moore to the sideline and the training room.

Now, as the Mustangs head into the final two games of the regular season and Senior Day approaches, Moore is trying to come back for a third time. Moore visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how this injury was different from the previous two, what worries him about his return to the playing field and the influences that convinced him to delay surgery until after the season so he could return to the field with the Mustangs.

OTP is spot on.

I'd love to see him play for us again, but not if there is a risk of the injury happening again, or becoming worse. There's more to life than a couple games of football.

He changes the complexion of our defense. Good luck SM.

I also want him to be safe and healthy, but you're right — having him back changes our defense completely. He makes the front seven better, just like they front seven makes a secondary better.
He's that good.
