I have absolutely no problem people coming after me. I can take it. It comes with the territory.

However, I'm never one to drink all of his Kool-aid.

Let me ask you guys something. Should we just accept everything he says as face value and just assume that it will always get better?

Do we not have the right to question those in authoritatitve positions to make sure they are doing what they can to to ensure the program is moving in the directions?

Again, my stated position is that even though I believe Jones is an aloof self-righteous ba$tard (name me coach in college football who isn't), I hope he can take SMU to heights enjoyed in the Pony Express Days.

I think it's obvious SMU needs him more than he needs SMU and the reailzation of that fact on the part of SMU was step one to bringing the checks and balances which have been missing over the last 25 years to the forefront.

Do tell, general, of the candidates who could have reasonably been expected to come to sorry little SMU two years ago, who would you rather have at the helm?

Sure about that? His pattern has been to go to college jobs where they are the fat girl at the prom that no one wants to dance with. There was little to no pressure attached to those jobs.

If that was the case, why was it known that the only jobs that he was reportedly interested in were SMU and Duke? Low pressure situations where he could have control?

I believe in checks and balances... I don't believe that fans should complain about a couple of games that weren't good by making ignorant statements like, "The game has passed June by...and he needs to retire..." That is not asking questions, it's being "know it alls" that really don't even have a clue about football... Don't be like aggie fans...
