Well, now that it seems we have players in the NFL...making plays, a few of them so far, can we plaease fill 1-2 minutes during the Marshall game with the highlight clips from Sanders/McCann/Morstead? No, it isn't enough to fill a ten minute block, but, damn it, they earned it, and this IS EASY TO DO. Enough with the kiss cam crap or scores from Chico State v. South Dakota State, this is an easy, agreeable, two minute block during the game that we ought to be doing every single chance we get.

Plus, it lets your casual fan and recruit know that, yes, SMU ACTUALLY puts players in the NFL. What a novel idea. I can't think of any legitimate reason this doesn't get done, save for NFL copywrite laws, but how difficult is it it really to pick up the phone and ask for 2 minutes worth of footage from three specific NFL players?

Please, please make this happen. It would be so nice to be asked to turn our attention to the jumbotron in the second quarter for the highlight reel of SMU players in the NFL this week.

They would have to get permission from the NFL, which, as I understand it, is a pretty bureaucratic organization

It is alwys better to ask forgiveness then permission - unless recruiting is involved.

NFL aint going to sue us for promoting their weak-a** product.

Yup, going "rogue" will really help SMU with future NFL prospects - that's definitely the thing to do - pi$$ in the big dog's food dish and hope he thinks it's gravy.

Good call. I can see it now when we have a NFL ready prospect, the scout will like all the tools but decline to make a positive recommendation because we once showed an unauthorized highlight at a game.

That's a rational point.
