New Ncaa Football Spending Report

Postby Stallion » Wed Nov 17, 2010 5:25 pm

SMU leads CUSA in spending on Football, 2nd among non-AQ, but still spends 3/5th of the amount TCU does? TCU spends more than all Big East Schools. These things are always complicated by each schools accounting and methods of operation-just throwing it out there.

Interesting. In our conference, Memphis has moved up while Southern Miss is at the bottom, but but the Tigers are at the bottom while USM fights for the top.

If we are tops in CUSA and second only to TCU in spending, then JJ and his staff are getting the support, at least financially, to compete, especially considering that it's 50% higher than UH and expenses for our school have to be significantly lower.

I know you said that every school has it's own way of keeping track, but is this overall spending or, say, expenses; i.e., did USM just happen to lose the least money, or, at least, that's how they keep track? I'm surprised to see their budget so small.

Was surprised that Rice is second in spending in CUSA.
$12.35 million. Wonder where all that cash is going.
