TCU to the Missouri Valley Conference

It is being reported on another thread that TCU would move to the Missouri Valley conference in all sports but Football - and would go to Big East for Football.

Seriously? Is this what we have come to with the BCS? This just makes no sense at all.

I hope the fogs sign a long term deal to the MVC and get stuck there for years - even after the Big East implodes.

It's all or nothing for the Big East...no exceptions.

This is my favorite thread so far today b/c of how ridiculous it is.
Can't we wait until the offseason to waste time gossiping about realignment?

No, but we're not going to sell ourselves a la BYU.

by selling themselves do you mean having a legitimate opportunity to make more money, televise ALL of your games to your fans (mormon TV) and keep your annual in-state rivalry game in tact.

Saying you are not going to sell yourselves a la BYU implies that you could sell yourselves if you wanted. Hate to break it to you... but i don't see too many people lining up to subscribe to the horny toad channel

Wellll, they already made a shoot-ton of money, had ALL their games televised, AND had the rivalry game in tact. :)

Is that Imminent and Probable as well?

BTW I notice GP fails to bring up last years loss to Boise during his whirlwind kiss-@ss East Coast media tour.

Imminent and Probable Selective Recall?

PONY UP

FIGHT ON

why would this be a bad deal for TCU? Big East gets them into a AQ conference they could actually win and MVC has good hoops, better geography than MWC. I haven't checked, but would guess MVC baseball is just as good or better than BE

We have split with Boise the last two years. Boise has beaten Oregon the last two years. Why is that not ever brought up?

As for the Big East as our AD said, we would not consider moving just our football team. We are an athletic department. We will stay where we are if we don't get a full invite.

The guys on Game Day today were really beating up the Big East today as an irrelevant football Conference...nobody in the huge Big East is even ranked in the BCS polls yet have an automatic Bowl bid......do they even deserve one?
Syracuse is the only one who has a chance at being ranked before the season is complete.
