A lot of players deserve some level of credit for SMU's 31-17 victory over Marshall Saturday afternoon, a win that made the Mustangs bowl-eligible for the second consecutive years.

One player who played a major role in the Ponies' victory was junior nose tackle Marquis Frazier, who had four tackles and a sack and spent much of the afternoon disrupting the Marshall offense by penetrating the Thundering Herd's offensive line and causing havoc in the offensive backfield.

I agree. He played his best game when we really needed it.

Makes you wonder if he had been injured and now has had a chance to heal. He sure went out of games a lot prior to this.

I have wondered if nagging injuries has slowed our D of late. That translated to our D not looking so sharp after mid October. The extra week off to heal may have been a huge blessing with two very important games left in the regular season. I just hope we are healthy come Friday. Wonder about Thompson and how he is this week.
