Armed Forces Bowl MWC Opponent

I continue to have some doubt that Army is coming to Dallas. Here's a MWC anaysis that breaks it down and has BYU in the Armed Forces Bowl-a much more attractive national matchup. I think Army only goes if the MWC does not have enough bowl eligible teams

I guess it's a given if we go 6-6 that we are in the AFB.

wouldnt have to worry about them mooching beer on the blvd..which reminds me. Someone better start lobbying now to have the blvd 'open'. Seems very SMU-like to announce that the blvd will be CLOSED that day

Is Texas in the Dallas Classic dead?
C-USA is in line for that if the Big 10 can't fill it, right?

RGV - I would think it would have to be a grassroots effort for the Blvd since that is not a SMU game per se. We can setup our own tents :)

This is right and the Big Ten does have the eight spots filled already, with Illinois or Northwestern probably coming to Dallas.

I think that Illinois got the Texas Bowl bid, while pushing Northwestern down to the TicketCity (Dallas Football Classic). I've been keeping a close eye with Baylor probably playing in one or the other.

SRO only tickets available for the AFB. I assume the school allotments have to be large.

All corporate tickets or do they give them away to service men?

Yes-I meant that Illinois was the 8th Big 10 Bowl eligible team. If 2 Big 10 teams go to the BCS that would have left no bowl eligible team for the Dallas Football Classic. CUSA is the backup conference with the Dallas Football Classic.
