Interesting comment about his abolishing the athletics department at Vandy because it came out of the general fund whereas at Ohio State all sports are paid for by athletics. I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that Vandy football with SEC money would approximate what Ohio State gets in Big Ten money. Is it because tuitions are vastly different between the two schools? Accounting is done differently? It sounds weird to me. Perhaps its because Ohio State fills a 90,000 seat stadium for 6-7 dates per year whereas Vandy does not.

osu played 2 ranked teams and a lot of sisters of the poor, mainly from their own conference.

Let's see Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, are all teams that we could probably beat and TCU would destroy. Add in Michigan, Northwestern and Illinois which are very mortal and you have six of 11. I recall one solid OOC game for OSU after that it was non-AQ teams. So, they have at least 7 of 12 games that are against relatively weak opponents.

SMU could also beat Colorado State, New Mexico, UNLV and probably Wyoming. Just keeping it real.
