Yeah, I know we're a high flying offense, but somebody told the running backs that.
Can you imagine if Fields plays to the potential he has, and Line still runs like he already does? Pony Express Rebirth?

I think that's where we are next year, once Fields improves his pass protection. I predict 1800 yards between them next year. Mix in Pope, we're stacked at RB, probably more than any R&S team in recent history.

However, we would probably have to rename the Pony Express to the Gelding Gait to make some people happy.
GO PONIES!!!

You know, everyone gives Line credit for being a big, powerful back...like a hammer. Kid's got jukes too though. I remember one particular stutter-step in the ECU game that left a DB absolutely grasping for air on a 20-yard run. He's an F-150 with Ballerina feet, kinda reminds me of Jorvorskie Lane when he was in High School (Lufkin) and simply treated himself to 160+ on us (Klein) my JR year.

1800 rushing yards?
yes. zach will have at least 1500 most likely this year, so that's probably a little low.

Don't know that you can improve on "Pony Express", although it brings all that heavy negative baggage along with it. Gonna take a few more generations before it can be used again without instant identification to the past.

We run the R&S which is normally very much pass oriented, so if there are two running backs their combined yardage won't be much more than what Zach totalled this year. Now then, if JJ decides to make use of his running backs more than usual for the R&S, then maybe we can see much more yardage combined. I think Zach will still get the majority of the carries next year. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I think a lot of what we do next year will depend on how our WRs are doing and how KP is as far as accuracy. More variety in the R&S will only make it more difficult to defense.
GO PONIES!!!

Zach has really gotten an expanded playbook lately. There was a lot of new stuff and recent stuff thrown into the ECU game.
If you take him out for Fields that would be left on the sideline, having said that, Fields will have more of the offense down by next season.
