WAC-ky bowls

So far:
Hawaii beat Houston
Fresno State beat UCLA
and of course
Boise State beat TCU

Hats off to the WAC - maybe the thought that it's a weak football conference doesn't have quite as much merit as previously believed.

You might even say that the WAC power rating is better off with the weak Eastern schools leaving for the C-USA. But success could undo the WAC because that might make the MWC more willing to annex Fresno Stae, Boise State, and Hawaii.

Right now the MWC is 0-1 and Utah is playing Southern Miss in the Liberty Bowl. If So. Miss wins, I think the Billy Goats may start to panic, because it really proves the lie that they are a really strong conference that ought to be in the BCS.

Looking toward our future conference, Southern Miss is the only C-USA team still to play. Hope they come through with a win.

The real problem with the WAC is geographical and time zone-- not competition. The WAC can play with CUSA or MWC. The lack of rivalries and the notion that the WAC could implode at anytime is the reason to leave. TCU won't improve anything for themselves by leaving CUSA. My guess is that MWC would prefer BSU over the Frogs anyway so MWC will have to expand by 2 for TCU to get a solid invite.
