I guess if that happened, whomever didnt go to Big East would/could join UTEP in MWC

I have my doubts that TCU would want us as a traveling partner. I think they are trying to distance themselves from us, like some of us want to distance ourselves from Rice.

Just heard him talking about this. It would make sense for the Big East to add UCF and SMU or UH. Winning Sat would help our case.....and having JJ does as well.

Last thing TCU wants is us riding on their coattails. Houston or Central Florida are both bigger public schools with better attendance figures than us. SMU is not going to the Big East.

My guess is no, they will not take SMU, UH or UCF at this time. That's phase II after any raid. A lot depends on the next two years. At this point, I think the better questions to ask are what are the Big XII and ACC going to do to respond?

The Big XII is really the one that needs to make a move here unless they are content going the way of the dinosaur. But since Texas is running things, and will end up on their feet regardless of what conference shakeups happen in the future, I bet the Big XII doesn't do a damn thing.

This isn't up to TCU. They are brand new, happy to be there, and will play nice.

But the problem with this traveling partner idea is that you have a now 17 school conference, built for basketball, with one member who plays in every sport but football. There's barely enough room for everybody now, this current expansion is being done out of necessity, and the BCS pie is being cut thinner every day.

Adding Nova who is already a member, is one thing. They don't want to add another school if they don't have to, and after TCU, most likely won't.
