Boise State. They went to the Mountain West for TCU, BYU and Utah (better competition). Now with the new Mountain West invites their best competition will still be WAC teams.

My vote is The TCU fans. No way they will be able to travel to those games. Closest game is Louisville.

Another vote would be TCU bball. Good luck winning in that conference

yea because their mountain west opponents were so close? air force was previously the closest (700+ miles away). that argument doesn't make much sense.

I must be seeing things. Many people on this forum maintained that TCU would not gain a recruiting advantage over SMU if the Frogs went to a BCS conference. Now, every sports writer that I have read is saying that TCU is going to benefit greatly in recruiting. Not only TCU is going to benefit, but all the BE schools will have a better opportunity to recruit in the DFW area as well as all of Texas. TCU has taken a giant step which will make it more difficult for SMU to pull itself out of the ditch the administration put us into. The BE is gaining entrance into the Metroplex media market which will hinder SMU if it comes under consideration by an AQ conference.

Our best hope is to try to continue to build our program and be ready when a playoff system is instituted which includes all D1 schools.

Biggest loser is the WAC. Hawaii is the big winner as they make the move to MWC based on TCU leaving.

Wonder how many other schools are out there that would have liked to join the BE and were passed over just because TCU has been consistently good on the football field? What else did they bring to the table?

How many other conferences are so spread out geographically that it will eventually become a financial burden on the schools to compete?
