This is a game where SMU could really use the TE
Posted: Thu Dec 02, 2010 9:24 amIt was good to read in the DMN that TE Pat Fleming practiced Wednesday. Obviously, it remains to be seen if he can even go Saturday. And if he can compete, it is unknown how physically capable he is.
That said, should he be able to contribute, it's going to be pretty important to have an extra blocker against UCF's very fine pass rush because it should be a pretty physical game. He can pick up the outside bltzing LB or double team that Miller kid.
Plus, I absolutely love having the TE release play in the gameplan or having him go on a seam rout where he gets a favorable matchup.
