We definitely need to stop him.

Told ya so in another thread. He's really the key to their offense (although any FB should be in an option attack) so if we shut him down, we stop their run game and force them to beat us through the air...ha!

He does not look real quick to me.

He's a fullback, so quickness is not at the top of the list of what we ask of him.

If you are not quick in the triple option as a fullback, you are handicapped. See the fullback at Navy or Zach Line.

Still, quickness is not at the top of the list of what is needed. The ability to complete the QB-FB mesh comes first. Next is breaking tackles. Then comes quickness, and Hassin certainly has enough of that -- he has the two longest runs from scrimmage for our team this season (both 50+ yards).

I wish him good luck. Still, see Earl Campbell for the prototype Wishbone fullback.

Apparently he has a fumbling problem, need to get some strips on him.

He could break tackles, couldn't he?
Regardless, I never claimed Hassin was the prototypical fullback for an offense we don't run.

Was Campbell a wishbone FB. I thought he ran out of the I but I remember him more from the Oilers than I do UT. The Texas FBs I recall with disdain were Steve Wooster and Roosevelt Leaks.

He started out as a fullback in the WB and then TU switched to the I.
