Grant Teaff is a tool.

Thad, thanks for putting footage of that Baylor fake punt on Pony Excess. That is the kind of cr*p that we had to put up with on our return to football. I became as incensed when I saw it again as I was when it happened in Ownby oh so many years ago. That was one of the most classless acts that I have ever witnessed by a football coach. And for it to have come from "Saint" Teaff is all the more infuriating.

The only bad thing was my emitting an expletive when that [deleted]'s face later appeared in the film. My 8 year old heard a phrase that is not normally uttered in his presence.

Before one of us passes on, I hope to meet Teaff somewhere so that I can give him a piece of my mind on his actions that day.

Rant over. Carry on.

You got that right. What a liar and to think he is so respected by so many.

One thing that was funny was there were some statements that Baylor was in as deep as other schools, but somehow the NCAA forgot to visit St. Grant.

You're exactly right - E'Stang.

We were at a baseball tournament up in Santa Maria this past summer for my 16 yr old. One of the parents mentioned that one of their friend's kids play for Baylor now & when he puts his shoes on in the locker room there's often several bills waiting for him. Yes - now! As if the coach doesn't know what's going on?! LOL! (sarcasm)

The Baylor defense is that the fake punt was payback for us clocking their return man on a fair catch. Of course, no one remembers that and Baylor ends up looking worse for retaliating.

My favorite highlight of that era is Kenny "Sugar" Rea punching a UT lineman about twice his size in the groin. The UT behemoth was being obnoxious and Rea's punch dropped him like a rock. It was a dirty move by Rea, but it sure was satisfying.

Grant Teaff pales in comparison to how classless UH is.

UH is in a class all by itself with their 95-21 obliteratation of SMU. Throwing deep on just about every play.

Grant Teaff has never stated that. Teaff has stated several times it was not called from the sidelines. Instead it was "an automatic audibile call" for the special teams to fake the punt depending on how the punt return team lined up. You can believe it or not-but that is what Grant Teaff claims

Stallion has perfect recall on the Teaff explanation of the fake punt. I don't recall anything different in the return set up and with the kind of lead they had and the time remaining, nothing should have been automatic.
As to Kenny Rea, watching the show and seeing the comparision of the Texas and SMU players, I remembered that incident. Still my favorite example of bad sportsmanship. Felt that punch up in the stands. Kenny managed to act out on all the frustration experienced that day by players, coaches and fans. Hell, it would have been worth a 50 yard penalty for all the relief it brought.

Tool is the most appropriate adjective I have heard for this baptist blowhard. Some of my high school team mates were recurited by this hyped up scumbag. The stories they told about their recruiting trips were remarkable for the breadth and depth of vices made available to them while in Waco and under the care of this pompous two faced walking piece of crap.

Page 1 toward bottom.Teaff: "It was an automatic call". There are more detailed explanations. Again believe it or not.

Are you going to constantly call people out for talking about their own opinion....?

People have feelings and luckily they are allowed to say what they wish...if you don't like it...move on...you don't have to comment....that is up to you if you want to recognize their feelings...

You are taking that too literally...he probably should have put a " :D " after that statement. It's supposed to be funny.
