Let's be honest, CJ is ESPN property and nobody was going to ask CJ a tough question.

CJ was one of the top RB recruits in the country. Does anyone reqlly believe he was never offered anything by anyone?

I am sure that in CJ's mind, he did go to SMU because his girlfriend was there. It sounds cute. I am also sure that whatever deal he got at SMU, he was going to get anywhere else. Again, because he believed that to be true, he chose SMU because his girlfriend went there. Why does he have to say more?

I am sure that in CJ's mind, he was not paid to play football, he had a "job" working for Sherwood in the offseason; does it matter when he got paid? I bet his girlfriend had a job, too. Eventually, Sherwood was his agent, so he wasn't paid by SMU to play football. CJ believes that.

But honestly, if there were lots of players getting paid and CJ was getting nothing, then CJ was a chump. CJ wasn't a chump.
