VIDEOS: Armed Forces Bowl Press Conference
Posted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 12:57 amSMU head coach June Jones and Army head coach Rich Ellerson, as well as Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl executive director Brant Ringler and Bell Helicopter major domo (and ... ahem ... West Point grad) John Garrison met with the media Tuesday for the first time as they all prepare for the Dec. 30 game, which will be the Mustangs' second bowl game appearance in as many seasons.
PonyFans.com was there. The good news is that PonyFans.com has increased its quota of video cameras for such events, as well as interviews at practice, games, etc. The bad news is that our newest videographer — me — still is learning, so please forgive any image shifting (there's a lot of it). Apparently I also have a lot to learn about how and when to use the zoom feature. Hang in there with us on this!

Part 2: Army head coach Rich Ellerson and SMU head coach June Jones talk about playing in the Armed Forces Bowl, facing each other after having played and coached with each other and against each other, and the general health of their teams as each squad gets ready to prepare for the game at SMU's Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
Part 3: Ellerson and Jones talk about each other's offensive systems, and Jones talks about the Mustangs playing a bowl game in their home stadium.
(P.S. Yes, we know it's not called the "Army Bowl." While learning how to upload files, the clips needed to be named, so it was nothing more than the Ponies' opponent and "bowl" thrown in — didn't know the title would appear at the top of clips. Oops.)
