I so do not want this game to feel like a home game for Army. I want to see more SMU fans in the stadium.

Army will have more fans there then SMU. Army has already sold their 10k allotment. The Armed Forces Bowl gives away 7k tickets to Veterans and current members of the Armed Forces. I am going to assume that the majority of people receiving the free tickets will be cheering for Army. Assuming we sell our 10k allotment as well this only leaves 5k seats. Since the 5k seats were sold prior to either school knowing that they would be participating in this game, it's up in the air who these people will be cheering for. I know it sucks but it looks like it is going to be a crowd in Army's favor.

It is a bowl game. Even though it is in our stadium, bowl tickets are distributed equally. And then, as stated above, there is a generous give away program to veterans. It is "Their" bowl. Lets just go and celebrate the day. My concern in our allotment is the expense if we do not sell them. But I am not going to worry about the crowd. We have always had to out yell from a minority contingency anyway. We will have enough fans to make some noise.

Just means we have to cheer louder.

And we have had years of practice having to do that.

It's the reason I'm hoarse and have a sore throat from September to November. Now December.

Ring cowbells and blow airhorns even if it pisses off the bluehairs.

I thought that I read it in a post on this board. Maybe I misread...

May have been my post stating that Navy had sold their entire Poinsettia Bowl allotment (12K).

FWIW, a week ago the Army ticket office told me that we had sold over half of our allotment. I don't want to bug them too much or I'd ask again.

Less than 500 tickets remaining from Army's allotment:

DMN reported this morning that SMU has sold 8,000 of its allotment and Army 9,500 (which matches the goarmysports link). Also, I think it's very likely that most of the 5,000 sold before the teams were announced is a solidly pro-SMU group.
