The problem is that The General has not started a panic thread in so long that we have not been able to vent in one place

Love it! Just another reason why we need a playoff system.

There are numerous schools having a problem selling out their ticket allotment right now. TCU might be the only team that has sold all of the tickets that their bowl game required.

FWIW, Navy has sold it's 12K to the Poinsettia Bowl.

I'm confident we'll have sold out our ticket allotment by well before game time.

The Fiesta Bowl distributed 17,500 tickets to UConn, and the school is responsible to sell them all. The cheapest of those tickets cost $111 (in the lower end zone) and can cost as much as $268 for club level.

As of Monday night, only 4,000 tickets had been sold, meaning UConn was still holding roughly $2.5 million in unsold tickets.

Yikes. Well, at least we've sold 8k of our 10k allotment.

Plus, they are going to get destroyed by OU. I guess local bball fans wouldn't travel well to the Northeast for March madness either. Big East/UConn is all bball. Requiring schools to pay for rooms and tickets is absurd.

I believe we will sell out despite ourselves. Promised tickets today, went to pick them up, rather than have them mailed and of course they are not there. Young man explained that it now will be sometime next week before they will be available. He wasn´t sure as the priorities are not complete. He was obviously frustrated with his own answers, overworked and absoloutely no leadership. Come on there are plenty of students that could use some $´s over the holidays to suppliment the staff of the office. Buying tickets should be a pain in the [deleted]!

Secondly, are we going to promote this to our own fans? or just leave it to the AFB?

It doesnt help that Ali Bradshaw who heads the ticket office is out of the country from the 15th-30th.
