Sophomore SMU running back Zach Line has rushed for 1,391 yards this season — by far the most in Conference USA and the third-highest single-season total in SMU history. Line visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how he views his climb through the SMU record book and his thoughts about the Army defense he and the Ponies will face Dec. 30 in the Armed Forces Bowl.
Enjoy!

Okay, I know this is crazy talk but...
Fleps graduates, and Bordano isn't ready to slide in. In fact, we don't have many upperclass MLB candidates, unless Henderson is moved back to that slot. At RB next year, we will have Fields and Pope ready to play, with Kleichi in the wings.
The coaches have said that Line would have started on either side of the ball this year.
So, what are the odds that Line is moved to MLB after the season to fill in for Fleps?

Any thoughts of a rumor that Fields could move to LB next year? He has the size, speed and played D in HS?

I would hope that if there is one player who is not in danger of moving positions, it would be Zach Line.
Considering how much Coach Jones and his staff value him for his pass blocking, as well as his running ability, I would bet he's staying where he is ... as he should.

let him play both ways like the FB/LB from Stanford and reduce his workload a bit on offense!
