Empty stands for virtually all other bowl games. In fact, people should take particular note of the fact that most of the bowl games ( BSC exception) are virtually empty and exist only based on ESPN revenues to fill their sports schedule needs. Most of the bowl games pay very little and most schools actually lose money going to a bowls paying for bands, cheerleaders, hanger on faculty members coupled with extra team time and activities at the bowl venue. Most of the bowl match ups this year are boring and politics rears its ugly head with Boise State being banished coupled with Nevada not being allowed to play against BCS teams. No reason Boise could not have been matched up in a decent bowl against teams like South Carolina, MSU, Oklahoma State.....etc. No one wants to give any non-BCS school any opportunity to embarrass a BCS school. We need a playoff system wherein the bowls bid for the play off games and then watch the TV revenues get big. Give a TV sponsor an exclusive prime time game with great national interest and importance and you will see interest again, good match ups and the $$$$$ will be there to make things very lucrative and interesting. Otherwise, keep watching boring, no interest games with more empty seats than fans and lousy bowl $$$$$. Unfortunately, the bowl season is the worst time of the year for college football, but for the big BCS games.
