Postby skyscraper » Sun Dec 19, 2010 10:37 pm

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls

Scroll down and on the left side, click on Dec. 30 tab for bowl games.
Current results:
Army 56%
SMU 44%

Only states picking SMU: Texas, New Mexico, West Virginia (Marshall fans, maybe?) and Vermont
Oklahoma and Nevada (remembering last year's Hawaii Bowl, lol) are tied 50/50

About 22k votes have been cast so far.

these things are usually heavily driven by alumni & fan base, seeing as how we have very little in the way of either, and Army has the support of the ENTIRE US ARMY, i view this as positive statistically that people outside of our traditional fan base are voting for us.

Indeed. Love being the underestimated, written-off underdog.

The entire Army doesn't support Army football. Most folks in the Army support whatever college team they supported before they joined the Army and don't really care about the Black Knights.

Those polls mean nothing. Only 22k people have voted, and you know some of those people cleared their cookies to vote multiple times. That's why we play the game on the field, not in a poll.

Good point Dutch. Right next to Columbus, GA is Fort Benning, which is the largest infantry base in the world. The votes by those guys certainly skew the Georgia vote.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.
