Sounds to me like they are trying to find a way to keep people from leaving early.

"Following the conclusion of the game, the concert will begin in the Armed Forces Adventure Area presented by Armed Forces Insurance, located in the Westcott parking lot directly north of Ford Stadium."
Yes, indeedy! Makes for even less parking close to the stadium - and there are still about 20-30 cars currently parked in that lot - likely left when students departed for break. And NO ONE thought to send a reminder email notice or put up placards near the entrances stating that "all cars must be moved" from that lot for the bowl game before the halls closed . Gonna be a lot of p'd-off students (and their parents) come January...
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

Any student that was stupid enough to leave their car there with the bowl game coming up deserves what they get. Come back in town and go to the game and all is forgiven.

i just don't understand why student wouln't be back for the most part. i would have killed to have a bowl game on campus while i was there. i'm pretty sure most of my new years eves were spent in dallas for the most part anyway.

Yeah - stupid students studying for finals when they should be focusing on football. My guess is that a bowl game more than 2 weeks after finals wasn't very high on their minds. I have learned that the cars will likely be towed, but there will be no charge for the "service". The next interesting twist is where the full-time staff - who live in those res halls 24/7 - will have to park. Not sure I'd like to be told without much advanced warning that I''m going to have to park more than a block away from my house and walk to get to the front door for 3-4 days. Athletics hasn't been operating with any logic or communicating very effectively along these lines.
