ESPN Stranglehold

looking at the bowl schedule on ESPN b/c we're going to be at a ranch on New Years day and wanted to keep an eye on the froggies & OU. both are on ESPN, so i looked. all but 3 bowl games are on ESPN (or ESPNU or 2 or ocho). Fox & CBS each get one, and ABC - parent of espn - gets one.

i guess they gotta protect their investment. for all practical purposes they control college football moreso than the NCAA.

I would say this is more a BCS stranglehold versus an NCAA. We have all got to realize and accept that they are two distinct entities. This is why Pryor, et al. are getting to play for Ohio State in the Bowl game. The BCS is protecting it's bottom line. The NCAA only gets about 12K for the Sugar Bowl.
