Blue out in a game SMU wears red uniforms and now a blackout against the Black Knights...... Wow.

Wearin' Blue or Red. No blackout for me. I support the armed forces in much better ways.

I know someone who was on Normandy. Going to be watching the game as an SMU fan.
As he watches the game on television, he will be cheering for the Mustangs, proud and respectful of the service men and women, and very moved, most likely to slight tears, by seeing the crowd wearing black.
You do it for these guys.

Don't fix it unless it's broken. Red, white, and blue have worked for the United States for well over 200 years and red and blue have worked for SMU for almost 100.

Really there isn't much controversy-there are those that are Southern Methodist University Fans and then there are those that are June Jones University Fans
Varsity Varsity
Alma Mater we'll be true.
(except if June Jones wants to change everything we stand for and our school doesn't have any balls to tell him No)
Come to think of it Varsity needs to be changed to sound cooler, hipper and meaner and the kids will love it

You'd think that after the gelding fiasco, somebody upstairs at Ford would have wised up. Guess not.

Exactly. It proves one of several things.
1. They don't have a clue.
2. They don't care what we think.
3. They don't care about tradition.

I'm just going to wear something that SMU on it -- red or blue I'm not sure which -- show up for the game and cheer for the Mustangs. I would think that that if you wear school colors to support your team, that should be the bottom line.
I don't mind that we called for the Red Out for the TCU game but this really should be saved for once a year.
I feel like I'm in an episode of TLC's "What Not to Wear".

Just wear your nice suite like you do on the talking head shows and you will look very dapper.

I know him and talked to him about it, but your opinion is appreciated.
