VIDEO: Army quarterback Trent Steelman

Army's effort to have an effective day moving the ball against SMU's defense Thursday in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl starts with quarterback Trent Steelman, who directs the Black Knights' triple-option offense, which has put up an average of 256.0 rushing yards per game, the 10th-highest total among FBS teams.
Steelman visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how head coach Rich Ellerson has built the Army program, some of the keys to his ability to run the Army offense and why the Black Knights have found the end zone so many more times in 2010 than they did last season.
(By the way, please forgive the braincramp ... apparently I can't read my own handwriting when asking about the jump in the Black Knights' offensive production between the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Army's offense scored 13 rushing touchdowns in 2009, and 19 touchdowns overall. This season, those numbers jumped to 33 rushing touchdowns and 41 overall touchdowns.)
Enjoy!
