I am at a total loss...The Pony D gives up the least amount of yardage in a game this season and we STILL LOSE!! I know it is all about the turnovers in this game, but wow, how can you let this happen?

Re: I am at a total loss...give some cred to Army, they are hard working players with time to prepare. But yea it's the story of the year I think there was maybe 1 game this year where we played a full 60 minutes of our A-game. if we could do that consistantly this team would have been 10-2, if we can do it next year we will win 9+ games. It's frustrating but I'm glad we are beating ourselves as it means we are close to being where we want to be in the top 25
Re: I am at a total loss...Easy. Padron's brain rusted during the time off. The first half he was thinking he was back in
Hawaii with a 45 - 10 lead. May the forth be with us.
Re: I am at a total loss...
I can't think of one game we played all 4 quarters this year. All 1/2 games - up and down all year.
Re: I am at a total loss...
I'm not going to play that card, Army did enough to win though we certainly did help them with some asinine play calls/execution. Bottom line they got stops and enough scores to win. I really feel bad for Mason, the rest of the defensive coaches and the defensive players because they all came ready to play today and their effort was wasted. There's no way we should have lost this game only allowing 9 offensive points to Army. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: I am at a total loss...Army was disciplined, took no penalties, committed no turnovers. Padron's fumble at the beginning of the game tilted the field and it took a half for him to get untracked. It wasn't even a strip, he just dropped the ball onto the turf. One of the interceptions was probably the receiver's fault more than Kyle's. The receiver took a slow cut as opposed to a sharp cut and the ball would have been on the numbers if he had run the pattern correctly. DJ was I guess trying out for 1-AA or Juco teams today. He had a good game. AR was trying out for draft position and looked good. KP had the happy dance two or three times in the pocket. ZL had a quiet game, but they were keying on him. Defense played well enough to win. Hopefully, KP will get pushed in the Spring and Summer to perform at crisp levels. Also, I'd like it if he didn't have to run to the sideline every down so that we could run no huddle and perhaps keep the defense reeling when we're moving the ball.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: I am at a total loss...I feel bad for the defensive coaches and the D players as they played one of their best games this year (IMO) and the O let them down.
Re: I am at a total loss...Maybe SMU can do next season what Nevada did this season. Use this game as motivation and let's come out on fire in 2011!
Re: I am at a total loss...RunningStang, I'm with you. Let's hope this gets under the team's skin. However, I cannot fully believe that we lost this game. We should have won it fairly handly. Army is a good squad, but no Navy. Looking forward to a better 2011.
Re: I am at a total loss...This game was lost in the 1st half. Ponies looked like they were asleep, and playing at home for a bowl game....Catching up more than two touchdowns down against a ball-control team in windy conditions is tough...
Re: I am at a total loss...Come to SMU to play DEFENSE!
Re: I am at a total loss...
Quiet game for Zach Line...103 yards on 17 carries...what you meant to say was Line maximized (at 6.1 yards per carry today) his opportunities. If he had a 30 carry game then I believe SMU wins...
